The memories of watching you enter the 600 home run club will remain a Twin cities marvel along with the great leadership and attitude you brought to the team. Good luck in Cleveland—there’s no place like home. Seeing this tonight, I cannot help but feel happy about this. Cleveland is where Mr. Thome belongs and I think all three parties involved in the deal agree. Thome will likely finish his career in the same place that he spent over half of his career in and where he had the most success. Good for the Twins and Cleveland for making this happen. He is obviously needed in the Indians lineup if they want to rundown the Tigers, but I like to believe that was more to the deal than that. :)
